Earth Day at the Science Library

Earth Day at the Science Library In-Person

The Science Library will be holding an Earth Day event on April 22 from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM.

Come join us to celebrate Earth Day at the Science Library Atrium! The theme this Earth Day is Planet vs. Plastics.

Activities include:

  • Plant a small plant, such as a pansy, in a peat pot and take it with you!
    • Materials provided while supplies last
  • An announcement of the campus Terra Award winners for this year
    • This award recognizes faculty, staff, and student leaders in sustainability on campus
    Learn about plastic pollution and what you can do to help reduce it
  • Spin our wheel to answer Earth Day and library related questions and win prizes
  • Learn about two sustainability State bills that UUP is supporting
  • Learn how to find UAlbany library books related to Earth Day topics
  • Relax with some coloring pages
    • Find them next to the circulation desk on the first floor all day

 

This event is a collaboration and will feature tabling, activities, and information from members of the:

  • Department of Biological Sciences
  • Office of Sustainability
  • University Libraries
  • UUP Environmental Issues & Advocacy Committee
