Watch Party: Howl's Moving Castle 20th Anniversary In-Person

Join us at the University Library for a special screening of Studio Ghibli's beloved film, Howl's Moving Castle, in celebration of its 20th anniversary! Directed by the legendary Hayao Miyazaki, this enchanting story follows Sophie, a young woman under a spell, who joins the mysterious wizard Howl on a journey filled with adventure, magic, and wonder. Howl's Moving Castle is more than just a visually stunning experience—it’s a tale that speaks to themes of courage, compassion, and self-discovery.

Did you know? This captivating film is based on Diana Wynne Jones' novel of the same name, and the University Libraries has a copy! Stop by to check out the book after the screening to explore even more of Sophie and Howl’s world.

Bring your friends, your coziest clothes, some snacks, and get ready to settle in to celebrate 20 years of Howl's Moving Castle together. See you there!
