Darwin Day Celebration In-Person

This February 12 is the 217th birthday of the famous scientist Charles Darwin. Visit the Science Library Atrium for our celebration on February 12th from 12pm - 2pm to:

  • Grab a piece of cake (while supplies last).
  • Play games and win prizes.
  • Learn about evolution and examples of how it's found in our everyday life such as mutations in flu viruses, antibiotic resistance, and more.
  • View student posters to learn about their research projects
  • View a selection of books on Darwin and evolution (and check them out to read them!)
  • Learn about services, spaces, and resources available at the University Libraries.

This event is a collaboration among the University Libraries, Dr. Cheryl Andam's lab, and the Anthropology department.
