LIVE @ The Library
Event box
Join us in the President’s Reading Room for the next installment of LIVE @ The Library, featuring performances by the Minerva Ensemble and the UAlbany Community Chorale. Take a break in your day and experience the library in a new way as student and community musicians fill the space with sound. Whether you stay for a single piece or settle in for the full performance, this is your invitation to pause, listen, and enjoy live music in one of the University Library’s most distinctive spaces.
The Minerva Ensemble will present small chamber group performances - trios, quartets, and more - where each musician plays a unique part, creating a rich and intimate sound. The UAlbany Community Chorale, a group of students and community members, will perform a selection of choral works. Program highlights include pieces by Kummer and Farrenc, along with choral selections such as If I Can Sing, I Still Am Free and Walk Together Children.
Light refreshments will be available, along with music-themed book displays, stickers, and the return of our custom buttons!
LIVE @ The Library celebrates creativity, student scholarship via performance, collaboration, and the library as a space for connection and inspiration. This event is free, open to the public, and all are welcome to attend.
This event is made possible through a collaborative partnership between the University at Albany Music Department and the University Libraries.
