The Superpower of Using Graphic Novels in the Classroom: A Roundtable Discussion
Event box
Join us for an engaging roundtable conversation on the innovative ways educators are integrating graphic novels into teaching and learning. This session brings together instructors who are actively using, or planning to use, graphic novels to spark creativity, deepen understanding, and connect visual storytelling with academic inquiry.
Each panelist will begin with a brief five-minute presentation sharing their approaches, strategies, and classroom experiences using graphic novels. This initial segment will provide rich context for the audience and frame the discussion that follows.
A 30-minute moderated roundtable will allow participants to exchange perspectives on pedagogy, student engagement, and the broader role of visual narratives across disciplines. To close, a 10-minute Q&A will invite audience members to join the conversation, ask targeted questions, and gather ideas for their own work.
Whether you’re a seasoned comics enthusiast or just curious about their educational potential, this discussion offers valuable insight into how graphic novels can transform teaching practices across subject areas.
