Audacity is an open source downloadable audio editing and recording application.  It is available on Mac and Window computers in the Libraries.  Some common uses include digitizing audio recordings from legacy formats, preparing voice-overs, recording and editing Podcasts, cleaning up audio and combining/dis-joining audio tracks to create one or more audio files.  Use Audacity to assist with transcribing audio.  Learn how to install Audacity, record and import audio, and extract from video.  Some editing activities covered include combining audio tracks, changing amplification and tempo, and splitting audio clips.  Walk-ins welcome.
