Beyond the Survey: Expanding Your Research Toolkit Online
Learn about different approaches to data collection with staff from the UAlbany Data Management & Analytics Center (DMAC).
This presentation will focus on the utility of qualitative methods, including ideas and tips for gathering information via focus groups and interviews, and will also touch on ways to use existing (secondary) data sets and conduct observational studies. Resources for defining and refining a search question will also be shared.
DMAC is a University-wide resource offering technical assistance and data management support to University at Albany research staff, faculty, and students. Their mission is to build data capacity in the UAlbany community by providing technical assistance and resources at various stages of the research data lifecycle. DMAC offers free consultations and short-term support for UAlbany researchers.
