Tuesday October 25, 2:00pm, Standish Room, Science Library: “Climate Justice using Open Data Resources” Presentation by Stacy Pettigrew, Ph.D. and her students.
Dr. Stacy Pettigrew teaches Public Health at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, where her research interests include environmental justice, toxic trace elements and health, social determinants of health, and urban greenspace and health. She was a co-founder of the Rhizome Collective where she participated in the construction of sustainable systems and organizational infrastructure. Stacy was also a journalist and producer with WINGS: The Women’s International News Gathering Service. Stacy holds a PhD in Environmental Health Science from University at Albany’s School of Public Health and a Master of Science in Epidemiology. Dr. Pettigrew is also co-author of the book “Toolbox for Sustainable City Living: A Do-It-Ourselves Guide” (South End Press, 2008).
